What's the use of being on the right road .... when you're headed in the wrong direction?

Your ability to overlook
what you don't wanna see
bugs me to no end

You have ears
But you can't understand
Your inability to listen
to reason
bugs me to no end

You're pathetically obstinate
But then again,
so am I

I'm not giving up on you
Not yet, dear friend ...

Some never fail to dissapoint
And a few like you
Make my day
Just by pretending
That you care

Is there anything worse
Than a life devoid of hope?
Why even attempt to go on?
When there's nothing to look forward to?

But,
False hope is better than
having no hope at all
and this affectionate charade
is better than none at all

So one trudges on
ignoring the obvious;
embracing the inevitability
of the coming 'crash n burn'

Living in the moment
Forsaking the future
Why do you do all this?
All this ... for her

Some never cease to amaze
Some never fail to dissapoint
And a few like me ...
.... never ever learn
